Moving in close and shooting the details of a subject is a great way to put an individual touch on your photographs. By focusing on a very small part of the scene, instead of trying to show the overall setting, you can create images that show which elements excite you the most. Closeup shots often have strong visual impact because they draw the viewer in and allow them to devote their attention to parts of the world that they might not ordinarly notice. Detail shots work well when shot with any type of lens, and you're only limited by your imagination as to how you portray your subjects. Make sure that you apply some of the compositional techniques that we've covered so far, so that your closeup photos are as bold and eye catching as possible. ![]() |
