Adventure Trips: Utah - Canyonlands

“For myself I’ll take Moab.  I don’t mean the town itself, but the country which surrounds it.  The red desert and the burnt cliffs and the lonely sky – all which lies beyond the end of the roads.”  Edward Abbey

Come discover some of the most unique canyon systems in the world, all in the hidden backcountry of Utah’s Canyonlands National Park.  Encounter striking scenery in the canyon maze, feel the rocks whisper with haunting Anasazi petroglyphs and pictographs, then wrap yourself in the crisp air and sweet solitude of the desert at night.  Based in the Needles District of the Park’s southern section, we spend our days exploring the sculpted red and burnt-orange sandstone outcroppings, unique “slickrock” formations, and spend evenings camped in style, treated to unbeatable outdoor dining and the canyon’s sunset spectacles of light and color.  Treat yourself to one of the last places in the United States to be explored.
