PAYMENT INFORMATION Unless otherwise noted, final payment is due 60 days prior to the start date of your trip.
REFUND POLICY The following fees apply if you must cancel your trip and are effective the day we receive your written notice:
More than 90 days before departure $200
60 – 90 days before departure $500
30 – 59 days before departure 50% of land cost
Less than 30 days before departure 100% of land cost
TRIP CANCELLATION Walking The World reserves the right to modify trip itineraries if conditions warrant or to cancel a trip if enrollment is low or other conditions are unfavorable. For this reason you MUST check with us prior to making your air reservations. If a trip is canceled, you will receive a full deposit refund, but we cannot reimburse you for flight changes or cancellations. Every effort is made to guarantee trip departures. On most trips, a minimum of 10 participants guarantees departure.
We strongly recommend that you purchase trip cancellation insurance. Travel Plus, the travel insurance plan we use, accepts pre-existing medical conditions if you purchase the insurance within 10 days from the date your initial trip deposit is made. Please see their enclosed brochure.
NO SMOKING: Most of our participants are nonsmokers, and in the interest of everyone’s health, smoking is not allowed at any time during the group activities, in the accommodations we use, or on the trail.
